Lee Arnold is
an abstract expressionist painter. Working with mixed mediums, the foundation of his work is mostly acrylic, but is often enhanced with anything from paint pens to glitter.
Lee's pieces are greatly influenced by his early schooling at a small institution in South Georgia.
The abstract painter he studied under encouraged him to think outside the box.
Lee’s works will have extreme texture to smooth. Often you will find applied materials within the piece.
Lee has admired the works of several classic artists, including, but not limited to, Van
Gogh, Picasso, Matisse, Pollack, O'Keeffe and Warhol. Further inspiration came from a Commercial Art Degree received from University of North Texas. Because of his years
at UNT, he feels his use of color and composition is much different than it might have been. Lee’s works aspire to engage the viewer in an emotional connection thru color and texture.
Lee Arnold is a Georgia native who now resides with wife and two children in Texas.
